How do I use this site?

This site is designed to help you learn more about careers in areas that interest you. For example, if you are interested in the category Medicine/Law, click that "bubble" on the Home page. If you have any trouble understanding any words on this site, click Look It Up in the top right corner to go to Merriam Webster's online dictionary. Enter the word you don't know and read its meaning -- just like in a regular dictionary!

How do I navigate each section?

To get where you want to go, follow these steps:

  1. Click the bubble whose title interests you; for example, Law/Medicine.
  2. You will see a special section of the site with information on careers in that category.
  3. Learn more about the field by clicking Cool Facts on the left.
  4. Click Career Choices to see a list of careers.
  5. Select a career from the list and click it.
  6. Another page appears with information about the career. This page contains links to people who do that job, classes you might want to take to follow that career path, and things you can do to learn more about the job.

NOTE: When you click an "embedded" link like those in the People or Things to Do section, a new browser window opens and The Fun Works directs you to another site. When you are finished with that site, close its window. The Fun Works returns you to where you left off before clicking the embedded link.

How do go back to where I was?

You can always go back to a previous page by clicking the back arrow of your browser.

Get back to the Home page anytime in one of three ways:
